Title: LUNADIA
Developer: Commodore Spain
Release: November 2025
Platform: C64
GAME STORY:
ARGUMENT:
You are a lunar researcher. You now find yourself on a planet whose moon, called "Lunadia," has collided with an asteroid and collapsed. There is little time left to escape the disaster, but even less time to recover your research.
OBJECTIVE:
You must recover the broken pieces of lunar research before time runs out.
- You have 65 parsaits (a unit of lunar time equivalent to 1 Earth second) to recover them in each wave.
- You have 6 lives to recover the research pieces.
- Warning: With each wave (phase), the broken pieces of Lunadia arrive more quickly. Be careful!
CONTROLS:
Joystick on port 2: It only has 3 movements: left, right, and shooting. (Therefore, to go up and down, we'll use shooting as a push force and gravity as a descent method)
VISUAL EFFECTS:
- If you die, the screen border turns red.
- If you have fewer than 10 "parsaits" (time) left, the alarm will sound.
- If you pick up an item on your lower monitor, "rescued" will appear.
- If you have fewer than 3 lives left, your health bar on the left will turn red.
GAME END:
- "Game over" - If you ran out of lives.
- "Time over" - If you ran out of time.
- "You did it" - If you succeeded and collected your research in time.
PHASES:
6 (Objective per phase: 30 objects or equivalent score)
Phase 1 - Exceed 3,000 points
Phase 2 - Exceed 6,000 points
Phase 3 - Exceed 9,000 points
Phase 4 - Exceed 12,000 points
Phase 5 - Exceed 15,000 points

If you survive the time and collect all 180 orbital pieces, you will have recovered the research.

I enjoyed playing it, thank you. I've also included it in my new video along with other recently released games. Hope you like it.
Thank you so much. I'm glad to hear that. Delighted to see our moonlit night in the compilation. Thanks, friend.
Hey there, I hope you don't mind, but your game is featured in this months best homebrew games video
Thank you very much. Everything will appear in this collection. Hugs. 🙂
My pleasure :)
Nice little game, cute in a way. But what makes it brilliant is the use of Garry Kitchen's Game Maker. I tried to get anything useful out of it as a kid, failed of course, but today, 40 years on, for the first time ever, I played a game made with GKGM . Soooo happy, thanks guys!!!
P.S.: After playing for a few more rounds I will have to see what others have done with GKGM in the past 40 years.
Thank you. Our intention was simply to explore the possibilities of gkgm and see if we could create something interesting and enjoyable. We hope we've succeeded. As for games, there are many, some more successful than others. Look them up and you'll see. And if you're inspired to create one yourself, then we've also achieved our goal: to encourage more people to relive the past and actually do it. Best regards
P.S.: We're preparing some short tutorials to help anyone who wants to make a game with the maker. We'll keep you posted ;-)
Nice, but very short game. Our German-language review can be found at 01:45:23. English subtitles are also available. Subscription to our YouTube and Twitch channel is welcome. 🙂
